Check Out This Awesome Dragon Anthology

Ever heard of Xchyler Publishing (XP)? If not, you're about to! They're a new independent publishing house focusing on Paranormal, Steampunk, Mystery, and Fantasy. I've been following them on twitter and this cool dragon anthology that they've just released caught my eye.

Here's the gorgeous cover:

And here's the blurb:

Forged in flame, wrought in blood, bone and steel, from the bowels of the earth and the inner most chambers of the heart, dragons arise. Fired by their passion, inspired by legend, six talented storytellers delve into realms of myth and fantasy as they explore what it means to be human.

First Flight by Samuel Mayo: Vanderson Egilhard yearns to fly, but when he discovers his father’s secret, the fate of his family and perhaps the world falls into his young hands.

A Dragon’s Honor by Brian Collier: When ancient alliances fail and friends stand alone to face certain doom, one dark secret and Calrym’s courage spell the utter destruction or dawning new age of two failing nations.

Birth Pains by Eric White: Bellalinde made a terrible sacrifice for love. Years later, her choice sends her and her granddaughter on a journey from which only one can return.

Golden Legacy by Jana Boskey: Hated, hunted, marked for extermination, when a young assassin hunts down Zachariah, he must decide which of them truly deserves to live.

Heart of Steel by Caitlin McColl: When murder steals his wife from Gideon Hendry, lust for revenge fires his passions. Only his fantastic creations know if he can escape his obsession before it seals his fate.

A Chink In The Armor by D. Robert Pease: Blessed by the gods, Job has never lost a battle. He has triumphed over every challenge from man and nature. Arrogant? Yes, but he's invincible. Or is he?

Cover Reveal for New Adult (NA) Author Victoria H. Smith

I'm so happy to help Victoria H. Smith introduce her book cover for The Crimson Hunt to the world! The book is a New Adult Science Fiction Romance and is slated for release November 12th. Below is the cover. Isn't it gorgeous?!

And here's the blurb:

College junior Ariel Richmond is working on year three of Project Normalcy.

Her house reeks of keggers past and her bestie is just a slight bit vulgar. But the thing is—they both aid in making life refreshingly uneventful.

So much for hard-earned mediocrity when Luca Grinaldi appears on the scene.

Luca’s sudden presence on campus is hard to ignore. Those bright eyes act like a beacon to unsuspecting females, and with features like his, he’s got to be moonlighting for GQ. Luca hopelessly captivates Ariel with his confidence and charisma, but the mysteries surrounding him make him nearly untouchable. And just when Ariel grows close enough to unlock his secrets, a tragic event sends her life in a downward spiral.

That steady life is no longer an option and allies quickly become scarce. The mysterious Luca seems to be the only one willing to help her—but with that trust comes the burden of his secrets. He has a dark mission of otherworldly proportions, and is willing to sacrifice as many lives as it takes to see it completed.

Gone are the days of simply maintaining normalcy, and if Ariel isn’t cautious with her trust, so soon may be her future.

And here's Victoria's bio:

Victoria H. Smith has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. She puts it to good use writing romance all day. She resides in the Midwest with her Macbook on her lap and a cornfield to her right. She often draws inspiration for her stories from her own life experiences, and the twenty-something characters she writes give her an earful about it.

In her free time, she enjoys extreme couponing, blogging, reading, and sending off a few tweets on Twitter when she can. She writes new adult fiction romance in the sub-genres of science fiction, urban fantasy, and contemporary, but really, anywhere her pen takes her she goes.

Cover Reveal for YA Author Tiffany King

Tiffany King writes Young Adult Fiction. She has published six books in the last two years! (I'm so wow'd by this!) You can buy her book HERE on Amazon, HERE on Barnes and Noble, and you can get to know her over HERE on Goodreads.

She is currently working on a new book, Miss Me Not, slated for release later this year. The cover is below. Isn't it beautiful!

And here's the blurb:

They had a pact. Leave the world behind much as they had lived it. No one would miss them. No harm, no foul. Their personal demons would be left behind once and for all. It was the only thing they could count on. It was all she had.

Madison Hanson has spent the last four years being a "shadow." Her parents ignore her. The students at her school stopped talking to her years ago, and the majority of her teachers forget she's even there. In her desperate yearning to leave her invisible life behind, Madison makes a pact with her only friend, James Garrison, to end their lives as inconspicuously as they live them. No fuss, no muss. No one would miss her, and she would miss no one. Their plan is set, and it's all she can count on. That is, until fellow student, Mitch Peterson, beats them to the punch. Everything Madison believed in is shaken to the core when she watches the aftermath of Mitch's death unfold. By taking his own life, Mitch unwittingly saves hers. What a selfish prick.

She is now left with the daunting task of living. Trying to bury her demons once and for all, and finally trusting someone with her fragile existence.

Living is hell. Death would have been so much easier.

Meet YA Author London Cole

Welcome to Five Question Tuesday featuring YA author, London Cole. He's super cool, and a terrific writer. Enjoy!

Q. Tell me about the book you're promoting.

Whisper's Edge is the sequel to Whisper Walker, picking up mere days after WW  left off. It tackles the relationship between the two main characters, Drake and Kelsie, a little more than the first book and gives the reader a front row seat to them adjusting to their new "features," in a sense (I hate to say "powers" because that isn't entirely accurate and is quite cliche).

Here's the blurb for the book: Drake and Kelsie quickly discover life won't be quite the same after getting their new abilities, but they hope everything will settle into a sort of normalcy. It doesn't take long for them to realize it's not the kind of normalcy they were hoping for.

When Kelsie joins Drake for a routine Hunt, they end up stumbling upon an underground bunker that hasn't been opened in nearly a century. When they meet a far-too-friendly ghost, it should be the first indicator to leave things alone and get out of there. Never ones to resist the opportunity for excitement or mystery, they end up in a situation that could cost them dearly--threatening not only everything they've worked for, but their very lives!

Drake's world is turned upside down. A mysterious new girl seems intent on capturing his heart, but that's not all she's after.

Kelsie faces betrayal by the one she holds most dear, only to meet someone new who could change her entire existence; past, present, and future. If only she can stay alive long enough to find out the truth...

Q. How did you come up with the idea for this book?

Ooh, toughie. Everyone always asks this one, yet I'm always unsure how to answer... Honestly, a lot of the key locations are pretty much real places that I grew up with (on Whidbey Island, WA). So, when walking down memory lane, or looking through old pictures, the scenes mostly unfold in my head when I see the location.

Q. Do any of the characters symbolize someone or something in real life?

I could get in trouble for answering this one. ;) Hehe. Drake (the main guy) is simply a composite of various guys. Kelsie (the main girl) on the other hand, is very much molded after what I love in a girl. She's strong, reasonably independent, and kicks major ass. In short, she's based off a few girl's I've had the pleasure of knowing. I really like strong female leads. The soft, pushover types--like the MC from a very popular sparkly vampire movie--annoy me. I find it unpleasant to try reading a book with clingy, emotionally stunted, socially inept lead girl. That's not a good role model for girls to have.

Q. Who are your favorite authors?

Richelle Meade, Kevin Hearne, Lindsay Buroker, Amy Plum, Kiersten White, Patrick Rothfuss, Amanda Hocking, I could just keep going. But, my current favorite that I can't get enough of is Lindsay Buroker.

Q. If you were stranded on a desert island and could only have one book, what would it be and why?

The Wise Man's Fear, by Patrick Rothfuss. Because it's highly entertaining, extremely well written, and it's REALLY freakin' long. Like 400,000 words long. That's roughly four regular novels. It would keep me happy for awhile. :)

Though, in all practicality, I'd have to say SAS Survival Handbook, by John Wiseman. I mean seriously. I'd need all the help I could get on that island.

Thanks for the interview, London!

Below you'll find the cover for Whisper's Edge, as well as a full bio on London. London Cole Bio

London Cole is a YA Paranormal author living in East Texas, US. When he's not writing he can be found doing laps in his pool, playing a rock concert, or any of a variety of outdoor extreme sports.

London's debut Whisper Walker is a Dystopian Paranormal based on the island he was raised on, Whidbey Island. Only, it's the island eighty years after the Third World War, and everything is a lot different...and a lot meaner.

The sequel to Whisper Walker, Whisper's Edge, is out NOW!
